Weekend Reading – 10/09/09

       I had articles in three different carnivals this week. Here they are:



       Trent at The Simple Dollar made a good point in June about why investing in index funds is a better use of your time than trying to beat the market. There’s absolutely no guarantee that you’d even be able to beat the market, and research has shown that very few people are able to accomplish that feat over a long period of time (at least more than 10 years).
