I had articles in three different carnivals this week. Here they are:
- Carnival of Personal Finance – Emergency Fund – How Much Is Enough?
- Festival of Frugality – The Mortgage Interest Deduction: It’s Not as Good as You Think
- Money Hacks Carnival – How to Invest for Retirement: Asset Allocation
J.D. Roth at Get Rich Slowly interviewed his millionaire neighbor next door, John, back in April. John retired at 58 and spends his winters in New Zealand and his summers fishing in Alaska. John wasn’t an investment banker, or a doctor, or a lawyer. He was a shop teacher for twenty years and a carpenter before that. He was able to retire and continues to do the things he enjoys because he knows how to spend less than he earns and use frugality to his advantage. There are some great tips in that interview, so check it out! Have a great weekend!
