You're touching on two great topics for Christians - not conforming to the world and giving generously. Our culture puts a huge emphasis on appearance and beauty, but Christ's love flowing out of us is all the adornment we need. And where others may choose to use the money they save for something else they want, God's Spirit can lead us to give it away instead. Thanks for sharing an excellent example with us! I was able to double the amount I was giving to one of my charities by this simple change. I felt God was calling me to let go of this vanity as an act of worship. I have not regretted changing the color (to my natural gray). In fact, I have received so many compliments I wish I had stopped coloring it sooner. God bless.
